Accessibility at Wavetrac

We want everyone to be able to find the right differential for their car and buy it from wavetrac.net, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, screen magnification or voice control.

Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. These are the international guidelines for making websites usable by people with disabilities.

wavetrac.net is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA. Most of the site meets the standard. A few parts, listed below, don't yet.

What we've done

In October 2026 we reviewed the site against WCAG 2.1 AA and fixed what we found. The changes include:

  • The mobile menu, cart, product photos and filters all work from a keyboard, and focus moves sensibly when they open and close.
  • Buttons and links say what they do. For example, cart buttons name the product they remove, and photo buttons say "View image 2 of 3".
  • Product photos have text descriptions.
  • Our red buttons and links, and the light gray text, now have enough contrast to read easily.
  • Pages can be zoomed on phones.
  • Each page has a clear heading structure, and the Application Guide has links to jump straight to your car's make.

We test with automated tools (axe-core) and by using the site with only a keyboard. We've removed the third-party accessibility overlay we used to run. We fix the site itself instead.

Known limitations

These parts of the site come from outside services, and we're working with those providers on them:

  • Discount pop-up and "$10 off" bar. Our discount offer is run by a third-party service. It can be hard to close with a keyboard, and the bar covers part of the screen on small devices. If you need the discount code, contact us and we'll give it to you directly.
  • Cookie banner. The cookie consent banner is a third-party tool. Its close button is small, but you can also dismiss it with the Accept or Reject buttons.
  • Checkout. Checkout is provided by Shopify, which publishes its own accessibility information.
